April Cornell joins the Mart

Woburn, MA - Cornell Trading, Inc., Distributors of April Cornell, an internationally acclaimed wholesaler of fine apparel, linens, housewares and gifts, recently leased a showroom in "The Mart at Cummings Park," at 400 West Cumming Park, Woburn. April Cornell (www.aprilcornell.com) has more than 70 locations in North America and wholesales to dozens of major retailers. The Woburn office will reportedly serve as a showroom for wholesale offerings in the Greater Boston area.

April Cornell joins a growing list of distinguished manufacturers and product representatives who call The Mart at Cummings Park home. Penn Associates, Matt Reimer, Gary and Theresa Kitaeff, Bob Heffron Associates and several others represent more than thirty lines of high-end fashion on display at The Mart, a major portion of Cummings Properties' 400 West Cummings Park building.

"Enthusiasm is building at The Mart as the number of distributors increases since retailers prefer to visit many manufacturer's representatives at one site, and The Mart makes that easy," noted Robert Yacobian, leasing officer with Cummings Properties. "There are some very impressive cutting-edge fashions and housewares on display at The Mart." Yacobian noted that these products are limited to wholesale sale only. The ability to place orders when buyers were visiting The Mart and the prime location, close to Routes 128 and 93, were said to be significant factors in April Cornell's decision to locate at The Mart.

Martha McEvoy of April Cornell, who will head up the Woburn location, noted "We are excited to get started so close to Boston, surrounded by others in our industry." According to company officials, April Cornell recently hosted a buyers event at a local hotel and experienced a dramatic surge in orders, helping them choose the Woburn area.
The Mart at 400 West Cummings Park, Woburn, is owned, leased, and managed by Cummings Properties, a locally-owned real estate development firm with 8 million square feet of first-class commercial space in 10 communities north of Boston. Cummings Properties completely renovated the common areas of the building and is reportedly upgrading the exterior façade as well.
