Commercial Real Estate Leasing - Sales Professional

Cummings Properties, one of the region’s largest and most stable commercial real estate firms, is seeking a highly motivated sales professional to lead the new business leasing efforts for its Beverly, Massachusetts portfolio. In this role, you will leverage your interpersonal and sales skills, sound business judgment, and tenacity to successfully close leases throughout Cummings Properties’ 11 million square foot portfolio, with a particular emphasis on its Cummings Center and Dunham Ridge campuses in Beverly.

As the primary leasing team member, you will work with a wide variety of business prospects, from local entrepreneurs to international corporations, as well as our in-house operational, architectural, design, construction, and maintenance professionals. Working in a dynamic environment, you’ll have the opportunity to influence leasing solutions to create a competitive sales advantage and drive transactions to closure.

Daily tasks include:

  • Leasing Inquiries: Actively listen to prospects’ needs, goals and budget requirements and provide turnkey commercial real estate solutions.
  • Business Development: Network in the community; establish new prospect and brokerage relationships; identify and develop leasing opportunities.
  • Negotiate Leases: Devise business terms and win-win solutions that align with both prospect needs and company goals; independently close leases.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members offering diverse expertise to ensure that prospect needs and contract terms are met.

The preferred candidate will possess:

  • 3-5 years of experience in business-to-business sales in a competitive environment, commercial leasing, or professional services.
  • Undergraduate college degree.
  • A strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • First-hand experience with contract negotiation in any industry.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and maintain a high level of organization.
  • A problem-solving mindset, especially regarding sales obstacles.
  • Drive and enthusiasm, backed by a solid work ethic and social-emotional intelligence.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and drive business negotiations to a high rate of closure.
